He is currently studying for his MSc in Sports and Entertainment Management at Southern Connecticut State University expected in spring 2019.
As a former NCAA Division II full-scholarship student-athlete, Templeton was a three-year captain and four year starter earning leading the Owls to NCAA Tournament berths in 2009 and 2010. He earned NSCAA All American and All-American Scholar Athlete Awards for his work on the field and classroom. He was also nominated as the NE-10 Conference and ECAC Conference defensive player of the year in 2010.
Presently, he serves as the current head men’s assistant coach at Southern Connecticut, combining this with roles as a Region I ODP Head Coach, Connecticut ODP Head Coach and Shoreline FC Head Coach. He holds a CT educator certificate in both physical education and school health as well as a ‘C’ License from the United States Soccer Federation.
His knowledge, skills and sports expertise make him a valuable contributor in helping guide and advise athletes to become influential leaders on and off the field. He believes in a holistic philosophy in coaching, focusing on the psycho-social aspects of development.
